Over on our twitter page, now X @gantrycranes we often talk about our close relationship with West Bromwich Albion football club. We are season ticket holders, advertise at the games and even carry out the yearly report of thorough examination of the Hawthorns Stadium hoists. We tried to use this to our advantage, and even got ourselves mentioned on Match Of The Day’s social media!

Red Overhead Cranes.

Overhead cranes are usually yellow cranes, so they really stand out in most factories. However sometimes our customers will ask for a slightly different colour, likewise the support steel can be changed. A roof truss company below based in Swadlincote has an owner who supports Liverpool, hence he wanted them painted red! On the contrary to some of our competitors we built 15 RED cranes see below.

We recently donated to the Birmingham Outreach Angels homeless charity. They are a not for profit organisation that frequently provide a weekly outreach to support the homeless & those in need in our city. They provide hot & cold drinks, food, clothing, underwear, toiletries, bedding & any other essential items. As a not for profit group they rely solely on donations & fundraising to carry out the work they do, hence any help is really appreciated.

After donating 2 tickets from AG Cranes Sean attended his second ever WBA game against Luton.

               

Sean was delighted as it was the first time he had seen the Baggies win! He was also overwhelmed by the attention he received from Albion fans.

This week, we have also given out a few more free tickets: one of the lucky winners took his Uncle Ken, who is 84 years old and has been a baggies fan his whole life.

Biggest jib crane order in the UK received by AG Cranes.

We were delighted to recently receive a huge order to install 18 pillar jib cranes at a major oil and gas company based in Lancashire.

Westfield London – jib crane on rooftop!

Westfield Shopping Centre in London ordered an under-braced Donati jib cranes from us to be installed on the roof. The customer requested it blend in with the buildings, hence it was painted white! Furthermore, to blend in with the surrounding roofs the hoist itself was camouflaged in white to match the roofs. What’s more we installed this crane outside on the roof and it enables them to easily lift heavy items from the floor regardless of weather conditions.

Crane to service The Swarm ride at Thorpe Park

The ever popular Thorpe Park theme park asked us to supply a crane in the workshop of their ride “The Swarm”. We were more then happy to test ride for them while on site, therefore testing our own work, regardless of how scary it was!  We provided them with a new AG Cranes, crane, featuring a Stahl electric chain hoist.

Another successful installation.

We recently won the order to supply Ash & Lacy Building Systems with a 11m wide girder crane and supporting steelwork. After careful consideration and quotations from a number of local and national crane suppliers, we were successful, likewise the engineers are based locally.

Jib Crane Installation

We supplied and installed 6 swing jibs all in the same factory, moreover we serviced the existing cranes as well. The customer had all the jibs exactly the same size to suit the needs of the business hence their improved productivity.
